I am always driven by process. However, I’ve recently realized about myself that I really love the inception of an idea…sketching, searching for materials and creating the space and time. Then, I love the process. To get into something, solve problems and see something evolving—heaven. But, then something happens toward the end of projects for me. I’ve laid it all out on the table for the first two stages and I don’t care much about the end product.

I come to realize that the IDEA is the goal for me not the finished product. So, I invite you to consider which parts of projects you enjoy the most. Beginning? Middle? End? or some combination of these? I am not sure what this says about our personalities…more to come on this topic perhaps. So, to make peace with myself about this I’ve decided to find the people that are better at my weaknesses and collaborate. What are your strengths? What are you blind spots? Who fills in the gaps for you? I hope this helps you figure out some ways for you to work more effectively. Have a creative and productive Friday!
