Gratitude for Everyday Beauty

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I did some yard work over Thanksgiving weekend. This is what my tarp looked like when I pulled it out to drag leaves around. I was so struck by how gorgeous it was. It would’ve never been so stunning had it been deliberate. It’s just years of painted furniture and projects done in the driveway.

I couldn’t sleep this morning and I listened to a TED Talk. David Steindl speaks to one simple thing that will make us happier—GRATITUDE. I instantly felt so grateful that my Mom, Linda in Burke, South Dakota taught me to see beauty in everything. Thanks, Mom!

  1. Hi! This post couldn’t be written any better! Reading this post reminds me of my previous room mate! He always kept chatting about this. I will forward this post to him. Fairly certain he will have a good read. Thank you for sharing!
