ON TRAVELING: There are those travelers that know exactly what they want to see and do. They have read the guides and studied the maps and hit the pavement with a plan. Me. Not so much. I need to experience the way a place feels. I get so overwhelmed with the big stuff that I need to break it down into smaller, quieter moments. Here are some of my favorite small moments. I hope you don’t get sick of Italy this week. There are a lot of small moments to share. CIAO

  1. You must have had some nice weather (lovely blue sky in clothes line shot!). Looking forward to many more pix! Welcome back…seems like you barely left!

  2. Surely you re-arranged the mirror on the motorbike, ’cause I can’t imagine how it would be useful to the driver in that position! Those look like dandy shoes to me, Ellis!

  3. Clothes hanging on lines from second and third stories. Vespas. Gelaterias.
Some of my favorite small moments of Florence.
