When I carefully choose what I want to pay attention to, my heart swells.

When I let the world be in charge of what I should pay attention to, my heart sinks.

    I read a book recently about “wandering” and it seems a lost form of appreciation.
    So much of what we know and love, has come from being inquisitive initially. We used time to dream and develop.
    Instant gratification is at our fingertips (metaphorically) and so it is easy to get caught up in the goals of others.B

    • Lisa Lillibridge/Dakota 1966 – I grew up roaming and scavenging the plains of southern South Dakota. That childhood landscape instilled a desire for spaciousness that's stayed with me into adulthood. My work often reflects these themes.
