Yesterday in the Goodwill parking lot I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Ruggles from Berlin, Vermont. His wife died 9 months ago and he has an amazing hobby of making clocks out of things he finds. He showed me some of his work which included the cool clock made out of a hubcap and one in an old frame with images cut out of Vermont Magazine. I didn’t get a photo of the clock he made with a wedding photo of he and his wife in a round silver frame. He has a friend who goes to Nascar races and he thinks that he could sell a lot of these clocks to Nascar fans. I was delighted by meeting him. What a great thing that his hobby keeps him busy and happily hunting for things to use in his work all the time. Mr. Ruggles and I have a lot in common as fellow scavengers.
