Thank you, Marilyn Kalish.

Marilyn Kalish, Lillibridge, Dakota 1966

“I realize how human I am through my portraits. What I care about. How deeply I love. To face devastating loss. I paint without censor or shame. I do not hide the suffering or joy of my life. My house is in order – I can do this, now. No limits. Without compromise.”

Last night I came across the artist, Marilyn Kalish in ArtScope—New England’s art magazine. My daughters and I were just so drawn to the portrait in the September/October edition. I was blown away. Her website let me see so much more of her work–so unique and ethereal. I hope to get to western Mass and see her studio sometime. If you like this piece, check her out…well worth clicking through.
