gratitude, existentialism & Woody Allen

“I took a test in Existentialism. I left all the answers blank and got 100.” —Woody Allen

…the plight of the individual who must assume ultimate responsibility for acts of free will without any certain knowledge of what is right or wrong or good or bad”

I love this Woody Allen quote. I feel like every day is a test in Existentialism. I think perhaps even my doodles reflect the tension of the human experience. I am generally a pretty happy person—however, to wake up in the morning with some gratitude in my heart instead of dread and fear has taken years of stumbling, awkward practice. All we can do is try—some days we just might get it sort of right.
