About Me

I'm an artist/writer/photographer. I was raised in a small town in South Dakota. I have a reverence for spaciousness & isolation that I call my INTERIOR GEOGRAPHY. I live in Vermont and spend a lot of time in Cape Cod. My art work and photography often reflect that longing. In many ways the ocean has become the prairie of my adulthood.

My gift wrapping hack. Thanks Lady Gaga and Vogue. @ladygaga @voguemagazine #giftideas #recyclingideas #recycling I found this root on the beach at Oakledge Park this morning. I was so drawn to it & I needed to see it more closely—beauty certainly is in the eye of the beholder. #roots #perspective #nature #vermont Weaving and stitching as meditation. #100dayproject2023 #weaving #stitching #slowstitching #vermont I’m reading Sharon Blackie’s book: The Enchanted Life. Last night she referred to cultural corsets. I thought about the way I was trained, somewhat unsuccessfully I guess-to conform, follow gender norms and not draw too much attention to myself. Cultural corset…an external societal standard about what is successful, attractive, or acceptable. This is total nonsense. The world is always better when people are living authentically. @sharonblackiemythmakings #corsetstyle #mixedmedia #slowstitching #coffeepainting #fashionstyle #theenchantedlife #feminist
