I went to my jewelry class with Jane Frank this morning and I had a plan of what I wanted to create. Like all of my art, clothes, dishes, boots—well everything I do or possess—I like things really distressed. New things make me a little uncomfortable. I like the sense of things having some history, a story—brand spanking new seems like too much responsibility. So, I formed these earrings out of sterling and then nicked them up, sanded, filed and then sanded some more. I was happy with how they turned out. Flawed and lovely, just the way I prefer people too.
