the humanity of the moment…

I love to photograph people. Capturing a moment that looks, or better—feels authentic to my subject delights me. I haven’t shot many portraits of people I don’t know. Last week presented a unique opportunity.

I met and chatted with a young guy at sunrise on Town Neck Beach. I felt like we had good rapport, so I asked if I could shoot some images of him and his ink. No harm in asking right?

There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment. —Robert Frank/Swiss Photographer

PS My husband has come to expect that I start many sentences with…“Today I met a guy on the beach…”. Thankfully, Jeff’s not the jealous type.

Flea Market Treasures…

I saw the band, WAR with my brother-in-law, Jim last night at Payomet in Truro, Mass. Why Can’t We Be Friends was crowd pleaser. After the show we chased the full moon back to Sandwich.
