Thank you VIDA

This morning in my Instagram feed was a post from VIDA and the model was wearing my scarf. It’s one of my favorite South Dakota two-lane images.  There may be an algorithm that puts the designer’s image in their feed.  I don’t know.  It was pretty cool anyway.

This design is titled “finding your way home“.  Conceptually this is something I believe we spend a lifetime doing, sometimes literally…often metaphorically…always worth the emotional effort.

What story are you willing to let go of to have a future unlike your past?

Shawn Colvin’s “Steady On”

…Cause he seemed like a miracle
I ate it up like cereal
But it was something like shrapnel

Steady on!

It’s like ten miles of a two-lane
On a South Dakota wheat plain
In the middle of a hard rain
A slow boat or a fast train
I am gonna keep my head on straight
I’m gonna keep my head on straight

Steady on!

Ireland 2016—part one

I have such a strong connection to images of the road.  They truly inspire me.  These photos represent a journey, freedom, possibilities and being out of routine. Those are all such good things in my estimation.  I’m trying to organize my photos in a way that creates a few “chapters” of my recent trip to Ireland. What an astoundingly beautiful country and such remarkably warm and wonderful people.  If you’ve never been, start dreaming about some travel.

I hope you enjoy Ireland 2016—part one.
